How to get to Montañita from South America - North

From Caracas:

Starting from Caracas, Venezuela can take two routes:

1. Go to Cucuta - Colombia (Venezuela-Colombia border) and from there to Bogota. (Shortest and cheapest route). From Venezuela we can cross by taxi (not expensive) to Cucuta (ask to be left at the bus stop).
   The visa in Venezuela is done in the same city on Colombia border and on the other hand at the same border crossing. Remember to change the Bolivars at the border for Colombian pesos.
2. Take a bus to Maracaibo or the northern border with Colombia (La Guajira) and from there go to Cartagena. From Cartagena - Colombia can go straight to Bogota. (Via longest but you can know the Colombian Caribbean).
3. Take the Express Ormeño and go to live Bogota (more expensive but faster).

From Bogota Colombia:

From Bogota we have several options:

1. Go to Ipiales, Colombia then cross the border to Tulcan (Ecuador). (It should go to the border Cruze in combi - minivan or taxi).
2. Take a direct bus to Quito, Ecuador or better yet to Guayaquil. (Take into account that a bus from Quito - Guayaquil may be around $ 7 - $ 13.

Since border Colombia - Ecuador

This border is very quiet and safe. Must present a passport in the Colombian migration to process the output side of the country after 200 meters we cross the bridge and go to the Ecuadorian migrations part and complete the formalities of entry.
From the border we go to Tulcan (a bus stop) so we have to take a (single or shared) taxi or a combi - van (cheapest option).

From the bus station we can go to Santa Elena, Quito or Guayaquil.
