From Buenos Aires Argentina to Montañita
From Argentina you can make a direct trip or different stops depending on your preference. The costs for land or air are not very high considering that the route must cross several countries.
By plane to Montañita: It is convenient to go to Guayaquil LAN and TACA offer services with stops in Santiago de Chile or Lima.. LAN has direct flights from Buenos Aires and has good off-season promotions.

b) Direct bus to Lima: This trip is delayed 3 days and there are several companies that do. Then you can go by land.
The fares of buses in Ecuador are very cheap. From Guayaquil we can take a direct bus to Montañita with an approximate cost of 6usd.
c) Bus to Bolivia and then go up on land:
- Take a direct bus to La Quiaca where we would be in the Bolivia border crossing. ($ 60 approx. And / 26 hour trip.)
- Pay a little more and go by bus to San Salvador de Jujuy. From there take another bus to La Quiaca, having the chance to visit the beautiful and characteristic northern towns of Jujuy and Humahuaca and Tilcara. (From Jujuy capital to La Quiaca we travel about 4 hours at a cost of $ 10).
- Take a train from the Retiro station to the province of Tucuman and from there take a bus to La Quiaca. It is the cheapest option of all. The train trip to Tucuman takes about 36 hours, so it will take much more than with other ways of reaching the border with Bolivia.
