Friends and family in Guayaquil are saying that the sea in Montanita is now dirty and a health hazard because the masdive expansion i Montanita and sewage duscharged into the river and sea.How much if a problem is this? PS We knew Montanita as a village in 1997 but have been back a few times since but only now are people saying the water is badly polluted.

What is dirty is the river, but the river is not discharging into the sea. It only happens if there is too much rain but now its not raining,
This problem will be fix soon they are building a new treatment plant for the dirty waters
